Happy Autumn, peeps! Here is something that can helps us find #ASimplerJoy each day. Today, my friend, Life Coach Carey Bailey, is generously sharing her monthly call to action: Pin God 1st Be sure to read all about it and to print out the forms. Carey recommends card stock – and it works like a charm! Then, starting on Wednesday, October 1 ‘“ before you email, before you FaceBook, before you Instagram, Pin God 1st:
Hello October!
It is my favorite month of the year mostly because it is my birthday month. Yep! I totally love my birthday. Arizona also teases us with cooler temps. It goes down to 95 and then back up again but at least we get to play peek-a-boo with something below 1oo degrees!
This month I also travel to Greenville, South Carolina where I serve as the Creative Director for the Allume Conference. It is a highlight of my year but it also take a lot out of this introvert and puts some pressure on my family. I will be doing a breakout session as well on Sabbath which I am like crazy excited about and insanely nervous about. Will you be praying for all of that for me?
This month we are going to read the book of Proverbs. Last month my church read through it and I felt like I missed out a bit since we were doing Psalms so I wanted to play a bit of catch-up.
Just a reminder that the goal is to do your reading before you check any form of social media. If we have some minutes to spare for pinning and status updates then we have some minutes for God. Amen!?

I use a technique called praying the scriptures (Lectio Divina) when reading. Here is a sheet that can walk you through that process. It can take a bit to getting used to reading it 3 times in 3 different ways but once you practice you will begin to feel like there is no other way.
I have had some of you ask where the printable memory verse and to-do lists have gone. And I wanted to share that I have started using French Press Mornings monthly printables for that. I am not a fan of reinventing the wheel. Her work is absolutely gorgeous and the printables for the month are well priced. You can check out her whole site here and for her Etsy shop click here. Happy October everyone!!!
