Speaking

I love to share what I see in God’s Word – on this blog, while leading Bible studies, and in speaking to groups!  I am available to speak at women’s events (breakfasts, lunches, church retreats) on these topics:

  • Overcoming Perfectionism
  • The Pursuit of Holiness
  • Godly Communication
  • Learning to Live Under Authority
  • Rediscovering Our Peace
  • Military Life – a Sojourning
  • Finding the Heart of Hospitality

and at parenting workshops, MOPS meetings and such on these topics:

  • Rising Above Your Feelings
  • Finding Your Purpose at Home
  • Rescuing Your Kids From Themselves
  • Building Your House Upon the Rock
  • Constructing a Biblical Worldview for Your Family

Please contact me so we can plan your next event together! If you do not see a topic listed here that suits your needs, we can work together to build a new message.  Thank you!

Here is what others are saying:

The women of our church were incredibly blessed by the workshop Britta taught on Leviticus. She took a tough book of Scripture and broke it down into understandable content, balanced with humor and practical application. Britta has the gift of communicating with grace and honesty, allowing her listeners to resonate and not feel as though she’s a perfect person who has never struggled. She communicates the beauty of Christ and following His Word with passion and excitement. I came away personally enriched and challenged to not overlook any part of Scripture, no matter how difficult it might seem.      – Carrisa
Britta has a delightfully bubbly and engaging personality.  She is funny and incredibly easy to listen to.  I always went away from her teachings feeling edified and given the courage to continue raising my children deliberately-to know Him.  Her words are true and easily applied to real life, day to day scenarios.  I hope every woman has a chance to hear and be encouraged by this lovely woman.       – Cati
I just learned so much from your study!  We have studied your family mission statements and accompanying verses and are currently working on our own to implement with our girls!   Thank you for presenting applications for parenting that have God’s Word as the foundation and guide.  You gave us so many wonderful tools and resources; I feel more equipped to study the Word in greater depth in my own personal study time and as a family.  Thank you!      – LaShae
The seminar that you gave was very relatable to a fellow woman, understanding God and how to raise Christian family.   I loved the use of scripture.  One of my favorite parts was when you talked about ending your day with forgiveness, the “Circle of Reconciliation.”   – Cassie
Authentic.  Relatable.  Humorous.  Infectious.  These are just a few words that describe Britta.  She has enlightened me to some new ways of thinking about things and has helped to renew my love for the Word.  What makes her authentic is her transparency, relating stories that could have happened to any one of us.    When she tells her story, a full spectrum of emotions well up inside as you empathize with her through laughing, pain, joy, or tears.  Her love for the Lord and her commitment to teach her children intentionally are infectious.  I am excited to invite my friends to hear her the next time she speaks.   – Susan
I recently had the opportunity to attend Britta’s bible study, The Lesson in Holiness. I walked away from each session inspired to be a better wife and mom, and even more importantly, with fresh excitement to study God’s word with new clarity, seeing meaning in scripture that I had missed before. Britta has a knack for keeping things candid and real, sometimes even knee-slapping hilarious, while at the same time her teaching is deeply insightful, faith-building, and uplifting. I found myself either nodding my head, cracking up, or scribbling down notes the whole time. She taught simple and practical ideas of how holiness can be practiced in our homes. So far my family has used these ideas to change how we speak to each other, how we resolve conflicts, and how we study scripture together to make it stick. I am so very grateful that Britta shared her heart, her wisdom and her gift of teaching… my family and I are changed because of it.    – Kim

When the first day of school is also the day your When the first day of school is also the day your firstborn drives herself to college, it’s a lot. We moved her stuff into her dorm last week. Today she got up early to say goodbye to Dad (too early! Not pictured 😂), her brother, her doggo, her piano, and her momma. Before she left, she made blueberry scones to share with her little bro @sjoshlafont —they homeschool and relocated together, went to @westminsteroakmtn together, and have shared a love of music, Legos, superheroes (and villains), Transformers, and so much more. She played my favorite song. She even made banana bread to bring to her new roomie. @graciethenerd You are my little nut brown hare, and I love you to the moon and back. Auburn University is a better place because you are there! ❤️
