Day 22 #CuratingtheGood — Good Gifts

Curating the Good· Slider Posts

Good Gifts When my kiddos were little, we memorized James 1:17, and they still remember it. It has been a great help in reminding them, and me, that all gifts from God are good. Here is the whole passage relating to that verse (James 1:12-18, NLT): God blesses those who patiently endure testing ...

The Good Wait? I am impatient. Waiting vexes me, but not the kind of waiting at the airport where I get my little snacks and magazines and tune out all the other boarding calls until mine comes. I don't mind waiting at the doctor's office, unless I have forgotten my book. See, I still savor feel of ...

GOODNESS Since we're #CuratingtheGood this month, we're studying the Hebrew meaning of the word Tôwb (Strong's #2896). It is one of the words often used in the Old Testament to describe God's goodness. Tôwb demonstrates that God's goodness is something we experience, like a beautiful sight or a ...

In Psalm 31, David is dismayed. Enemies surround him and "with pride and contempt boiling in their hearts, they speak boldly against the righteous and persecute those who poured their trust into [God]" (verse 18). Today, I'm sharing the whole psalm because we should read the verses about God's good ...

Day 18 #CuratingtheGood — Good Spiritual Gifts

Do you ever think about whether you are using your spiritual gifts? I do. A lot. Oh my goodness...and if I bring this up one more time, my husband is probably going to scream!! We hear so much these days about "working within our giftedness." God created each of us in His Image; and the diversity ...

The Good Giver The Lord is a good giver. In Psalm 84:11, we see His Names, Lord (Yahweh) and God (Elohim), both of which demonstrate His generosity. God's Names reveal His nature, His character. The two names in today's verse are often used to describe God in the Old Testament (from ...

When the first day of school is also the day your When the first day of school is also the day your firstborn drives herself to college, it’s a lot. We moved her stuff into her dorm last week. Today she got up early to say goodbye to Dad (too early! Not pictured 😂), her brother, her doggo, her piano, and her momma. Before she left, she made blueberry scones to share with her little bro @sjoshlafont —they homeschool and relocated together, went to @westminsteroakmtn together, and have shared a love of music, Legos, superheroes (and villains), Transformers, and so much more. She played my favorite song. She even made banana bread to bring to her new roomie. @graciethenerd You are my little nut brown hare, and I love you to the moon and back. Auburn University is a better place because you are there! ❤️
