From the Pages of my Journal: John 1:1-5

From the Pages of My Journal

John 1 ‘“ I have always loved the revelation of the Word, the revealing, the opening of our eyes to who He is, in this chapter: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  He was with God in the beginning.  Through him all things were made; without him nothing ...

HERstory: 3 Times Blessed, Part 1

HERstory

The following story comes from a dear friend of mine.  It is a two part-story, where she shares how her faith brought her through a difficult time.  Be inspired! That Triplet Mom, the lady with the triplets, that busy mommy‘¦those are the names people give me, but that doesn't bother me.  I am ...

Devotional Journal

From the Pages of My Journal

In lieu of choosing another study to do as a group, I am taking little time off to ponder and pray about what God is doing with Girls Growing with God.  In my personal devotional I am reading the book of John.  I thought it would be nice to share some of the things I am writing on my own journal, so ...

Judas or Peter?

From the Pages of My Journal

Easter Thanksgiving

Wholeness

This is the Truth of Easter:  “For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that One died for all, and therefore all died. And He died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for Him who died for them and was raised again.” 2 Cor 5:14-15 What can I do to ...

Embracing Your Strengths: Week 12

Embracing Your Strengths

So today is the day to look back on the study and find your own "take home message".  What has God been speaking into your heart about strength?  We were asked to find the Bible verse that was most meaningful  to us.  Without a doubt, for me it was: Do not be conformed to this world, but be ...

When the first day of school is also the day your When the first day of school is also the day your firstborn drives herself to college, it’s a lot. We moved her stuff into her dorm last week. Today she got up early to say goodbye to Dad (too early! Not pictured 😂), her brother, her doggo, her piano, and her momma. Before she left, she made blueberry scones to share with her little bro @sjoshlafont —they homeschool and relocated together, went to @westminsteroakmtn together, and have shared a love of music, Legos, superheroes (and villains), Transformers, and so much more. She played my favorite song. She even made banana bread to bring to her new roomie. @graciethenerd You are my little nut brown hare, and I love you to the moon and back. Auburn University is a better place because you are there! ❤️

Also, so grateful for the wonderful school where she spent the last four years—the perfect place to land after years of homeschooling on the move. “For the LORD is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.” (Ps 100:5) #curatingthegood #graduated🎓 #wisebeyondheryears @graciethenerd @lafonte04 @westminsteroakmtn
