Day 16 #CuratingtheGood — Sunday Soundtrack, Week 3

Curating the Good· Slider Posts

One of my favorite things about my Write 31 Days series last year was the Sunday Soundtrack every week. Music is powerful. Scripture says the Lord inhabits the praises of His people (Psalm 22:3). When we confess our faith, we glorify God by speaking the truth about His goodness. Y'all, there is ...

Day 15 #CuratingtheGood — Good Lord!

Our Good Lord is worthy. The Lord God is worth praising because He is good. He is the standard for good. When we praise Him, we are speaking the Truth about Him and we are confessing our faith in Him. It is good for us to praise Him because, in confession, our hearts are lifted and our Spirit is ...

Seeing God's Word with New Eyes We are confident that God is able to orchestrate everything to work toward something good and beautiful when we love Him and accept His invitation to live according to His plan (Romans 8:28, VOICE). I love the VOICE translation of one of the most famous verses in ...

In the same day, I was cut off in traffic and nearly run off the road, plus I had to call my husband to come home from work to deal with a car problem caused by one of my kiddos.  I had to ask, Where is my patience? At the end of hard days, I want nothing more than a bowl of Blue Bell ice ...

Day 12 #CuratingtheGood — Good Thanks

Curating the Good· Slider Posts

It is for freedom that we have been set free by Christ (Galatians 5:1). In 1 Timothy 4, Paul teaches that some believers have added rules to the Christian walk, their idea of what it means to be good. They're suggesting (1) that holiness means not getting married so you can devote yourself to ...

Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. It isn't hard to marvel at all the goodness the Lord has created. A baby's yawn? The grace of a horse in a gallop? The impossible idea of infinity? C'mon y'all, you know what I mean? Creation is God's palette and He is a flat-out Master Artist/ ...

When the first day of school is also the day your When the first day of school is also the day your firstborn drives herself to college, it’s a lot. We moved her stuff into her dorm last week. Today she got up early to say goodbye to Dad (too early! Not pictured 😂), her brother, her doggo, her piano, and her momma. Before she left, she made blueberry scones to share with her little bro @sjoshlafont —they homeschool and relocated together, went to @westminsteroakmtn together, and have shared a love of music, Legos, superheroes (and villains), Transformers, and so much more. She played my favorite song. She even made banana bread to bring to her new roomie. @graciethenerd You are my little nut brown hare, and I love you to the moon and back. Auburn University is a better place because you are there! ❤️
