Journey to Joy: Week 2 Day 3

Journey to Joy

I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting him who called you in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel not that there is another one, but there are some who trouble you and want to distort the gospel of Christ. Gal 1:6-7   Being a military wife, and a military ...

Journey to Joy/Heartstrings: Gripes

Heartstrings· Journey to Joy

I goofed!  But I guess if the Lord is leading, nothing is really a "goof" because He can use all of our "goofs" for His glory.  I wrote today's Journey to Joy post last night and then, this morning, realized I was skipping Heart Strings (something I wanted to add into this study for you).  So this ...

Journey to Joy: Week 2 Day 2

Journey to Joy

I am the Lord's servant‘¦May it be to me as you have said (Luke 1:38). Mary's response to the Angel Gabriel is acquiescence and submission.  Her apparent obedience does not amaze me as much as her actual obedience does. What I mean is this: how often have I obeyed the Lord while dragging my feet ...

Journey to Joy: Week 2 Day 1

Journey to Joy

For a few years now God has put two scriptures, together, on my heart: John 15:1-11 and Galatians 5:22,23 (you can read more about them in another post I wrote earlier this year and in one I wrote last month).  They answer an important question.  How can I live the Christian life when I still ...

Journey to Joy

Okay, not out of laziness, but because I think this is what I would say all over again...this is a repost.  A little history:  We started the Journey to Joy *the first time* on October 17.  We went for the first week and then one day God put it on my heart to seek out old and new friends and invite ...

Journey to Joy: Week 1 Day 4

Journey to Joy

There is a saying that to have a friend, you have to be a friend.  Have you ever had a friend who constantly cancels at the last minute, makes promises they don't keep, just in general forgets about you?  These people would fall into the category of "fair weather friends" - they are there when they ...

We are so thankful for this young man. ❤️ We are so thankful for this young man. ❤️
When the first day of school is also the day your When the first day of school is also the day your firstborn drives herself to college, it’s a lot. We moved her stuff into her dorm last week. Today she got up early to say goodbye to Dad (too early! Not pictured 😂), her brother, her doggo, her piano, and her momma. Before she left, she made blueberry scones to share with her little bro @sjoshlafont —they homeschool and relocated together, went to @westminsteroakmtn together, and have shared a love of music, Legos, superheroes (and villains), Transformers, and so much more. She played my favorite song. She even made banana bread to bring to her new roomie. @graciethenerd You are my little nut brown hare, and I love you to the moon and back. Auburn University is a better place because you are there! ❤️

Also, so grateful for the wonderful school where she spent the last four years—the perfect place to land after years of homeschooling on the move. “For the LORD is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.” (Ps 100:5) #curatingthegood #graduated🎓 #wisebeyondheryears @graciethenerd @lafonte04 @westminsteroakmtn
