Called to Believe…Revisited

From the Pages of My Journal

"And I am sure of this, that He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ" (Phil 1:6, ESV). I am sitting at the Sky Harbor Airport in Phoenix, AZ.  I am waiting to board my flight to Charlotte, NC where I will attend the Proverbs31 Ministries SheSpeaks ...

Girls. The Update.

From the Pages of My Journal

Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain (1 Cor 15:58). I wrote about this Bible verse on Friday too - this post is sort of "Part 2".  This verse ...

Family Wisdom. Proverbs 3:31-32

Family Wisdom

Memory Verse Monday: July 15

Memory Verse Monday

Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows (James 1:17). This is one of my all-time-favorite Bible verses!!!  When my life feels off track...like dealing with a loved one's health concerns...or needing ...

The Family Workshop: A Little Help From Our Friends

The Family Workshop

Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds...encouraging one another (Hebrews 10:24-25). We went to the park to meet friends a few weeks ago.  And Arizona, being Arizona, there is ...

When the first day of school is also the day your When the first day of school is also the day your firstborn drives herself to college, it’s a lot. We moved her stuff into her dorm last week. Today she got up early to say goodbye to Dad (too early! Not pictured 😂), her brother, her doggo, her piano, and her momma. Before she left, she made blueberry scones to share with her little bro @sjoshlafont —they homeschool and relocated together, went to @westminsteroakmtn together, and have shared a love of music, Legos, superheroes (and villains), Transformers, and so much more. She played my favorite song. She even made banana bread to bring to her new roomie. @graciethenerd You are my little nut brown hare, and I love you to the moon and back. Auburn University is a better place because you are there! ❤️

Also, so grateful for the wonderful school where she spent the last four years—the perfect place to land after years of homeschooling on the move. “For the LORD is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.” (Ps 100:5) #curatingthegood #graduated🎓 #wisebeyondheryears @graciethenerd @lafonte04 @westminsteroakmtn
