The LORD by wisdom founded the earth;
by understanding He established the heavens;
by His knowledge the deeps broke open,
and the clouds drop down the dew (Prov. 3:19-20).
Sometimes the day to day trials of life can wear me down. I am grieving about a loved one whose body has turned against him, and there is nothing I can do, but pray and wait on the LORD. The internet goes out yesterday and I spend 2 hours on the phone with a very nice lady, with a Russian accent, who is obviously reading the instruction manual as she performs surgery on my wifi connection. And last night, I checked in with the TV News – and that’s enough to make me want to go to bed and stay there.
When I was young, I thought I was in charge of my life. Today I have more…ahem…experience, so I see that the LORD holds all of it in His Hands. And, now that I know the LORD better than I did then, I am so glad it is Him and not me.
Whether the outlook is bleak and overwhelming, or the “little things” are swarming and buzzing around me, or I need a second wind, but can’t catch my breath…this is when it is good to contemplate Eternity.
Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth?
Tell me, if you have understanding.
Who determined its measurements surely you know!
Or who stretched the line upon it?
On what were its bases sunk,
or who laid its cornerstone,
when the morning stars sang together
and all the sons of God shouted for joy? (Job 38:4-7).
Today, I am thankful that He is big and I am small. I am relieved to know that He had the whole Plan, before He made the Earth. And I am so amazed that He loves me and calls me His own.
What are you thankful for today?
Hugs,
Britta ~ I am justAgirl…just like you!

This is the truth to remember, Our days are already known, God is in control, and what need to we have to worry~ Look to the lilies…Look to the sparrows.
I will be praying for your loved one, may God bring him answers to his trial and peace & health to his body.
I love the verse at the end of God responding to Job..
Job is one of the few people in history I would really like to spend 5 minutes with! Conversing with the Almighty…Never blaming God through it ALL..I have a lot to learn from Job’s life.
thanks for writing!
