Lord I Want to Know You: Day 18

Lord I Want to Know You

So the offering of Isaac as a sacrifice was a portend of the sacrifices that would be later offered in the temple, sacrifices to cleanse people of their sins.  These sacrifices paved the way for the ultimate sacrifice.  The sacrifices by men demonstrated the need for a Savior – none of them were lasting; none of them were absolute.  Only Jesus was able to absolve us of our grief and sin. Jehovah Jireh provided for His people the Way to healing and wholeness and reconciliation with the Father.

On page 66 and 67, KA writes: “It is appointed unto men once to die” (Hebrews 9:27, KJV) “He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him” (John 3:36).  What will it be?  Life or death? What provision has been made for your sins?  Will it satisfy God?

Here is what I wrote:

God has provided Jesus’ perfect sacrifice for my sins so that I might have life eternal.  In addition, in this life, I am able to live in peace because I am not alone…I am comforted; I am befriended by Jesus; I am adopted by the Holy Father.  Bless the Lord, O my soul and all that is within me bless His Holy Name!

What came to your mind?

JustaGirl…just like you!

We are so thankful for this young man. ❤️ We are so thankful for this young man. ❤️
When the first day of school is also the day your When the first day of school is also the day your firstborn drives herself to college, it’s a lot. We moved her stuff into her dorm last week. Today she got up early to say goodbye to Dad (too early! Not pictured 😂), her brother, her doggo, her piano, and her momma. Before she left, she made blueberry scones to share with her little bro @sjoshlafont —they homeschool and relocated together, went to @westminsteroakmtn together, and have shared a love of music, Legos, superheroes (and villains), Transformers, and so much more. She played my favorite song. She even made banana bread to bring to her new roomie. @graciethenerd You are my little nut brown hare, and I love you to the moon and back. Auburn University is a better place because you are there! ❤️

Also, so grateful for the wonderful school where she spent the last four years—the perfect place to land after years of homeschooling on the move. “For the LORD is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.” (Ps 100:5) #curatingthegood #graduated🎓 #wisebeyondheryears @graciethenerd @lafonte04 @westminsteroakmtn
