Lord I Want to Know You: SGD Questions, p. 54

Lord I Want to Know You

Hey Girls!  Hope you didn’t miss GGwG over the last few days ‘“ we took off the Tuesday to make the holiday weekend last a little longer.  If you don’t know about our schedule ‘“ please check out the calendar page on the website here. So today we are just wrapping up Chapter 6 ‘“ The Lord by reviewing the Small Group Questions from page 54.

Please take a minute to respond ‘“ I would really love to hear from you ‘“ we need a conversation to start rather than to have a series of monologues by me!  Please read through the following questions from page 54 (I have just picked a few from KA’s list) and share your heart with us:

#1 As you understand it, define the name Adonai.

#2 What does the lordship of God over man mean?

#6 Is Christ Adonai to you?

#7 In light of Jesus Christ being Adonai, how would you explain Matthew 7:21-22 to another? Here is the entire passage from the lesson and the first portion shows verses 21 and 22:

{“Not everyone who says to me, ‘˜Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, ‘˜Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’} Then I will tell them plainly, ‘˜I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’

“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.” Matt 7:21-27

JustaGirl‘¦just like you!

When the first day of school is also the day your When the first day of school is also the day your firstborn drives herself to college, it’s a lot. We moved her stuff into her dorm last week. Today she got up early to say goodbye to Dad (too early! Not pictured 😂), her brother, her doggo, her piano, and her momma. Before she left, she made blueberry scones to share with her little bro @sjoshlafont —they homeschool and relocated together, went to @westminsteroakmtn together, and have shared a love of music, Legos, superheroes (and villains), Transformers, and so much more. She played my favorite song. She even made banana bread to bring to her new roomie. @graciethenerd You are my little nut brown hare, and I love you to the moon and back. Auburn University is a better place because you are there! ❤️

Also, so grateful for the wonderful school where she spent the last four years—the perfect place to land after years of homeschooling on the move. “For the LORD is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.” (Ps 100:5) #curatingthegood #graduated🎓 #wisebeyondheryears @graciethenerd @lafonte04 @westminsteroakmtn
