This week, I have been sharing about an exciting new opportunity to proclaim the gospel on social media: The Meet Me in the Middle Project.
I am calling this a Lenten Curation because we will curate (collect and organize) images and share them during Lent. My hope is that it will make all of us re-think the meaning behind all those Before & After photos—the ones that we love/hate because they spur us on and, at the same time, discourage us. The truth is that Before & After pics point to something greater and hope-filled, and we often miss it. From the website:
Lent is the season of remembering—reflecting on how Christ entered into history to bring peace—and recalling that He knows what it is like to stand on the edge of ‘Before.’
As He prayed about His upcoming crucifixion and death, He grieved, ‘My soul is very sorrowful, even to death’ (Mark 14:32-42). Lent is a season of repentance—grieving over our mess, taking our “Before,” and entrusting it to God.
Easter is the celebration of Christ’s victory over sin and death; it is the biggest “After” because it changed everything. Easter demonstrates that God makes good on the promise of the “After.”
When we see a Before and After,
let’s celebrate how God is at work in the middle!

Today, I wanted to share a few how-to videos for anyone who wants to participate through Instagram, but is unsure of how to make the collage or join the link-up with a Permalink. It is really simple! And it will be really fun, if you join us. I told my friend Kathy on Tuesday, this Project is like planning a big party and hoping someone will come. Will you come? Will you Meet Me in the Middle? If the videos don’t immediately appear below, please refresh your browser!
