Today’s memory verse is about loving your neighbor.  Sometimes your neighbor is the person across the breakfast table.  This week at our house, we are trying to outdo one another in showing honor.  We are planning to do that in specific ways each day.  Today we want to outdo each other in feeling gratitude for one another.
 

Gratitude glorifies God. Gratitude remembers that every person is a gift.  Sometimes we enjoy the gifts.  Sometimes we don’t appreciate the thoughtfulness of the Giver of Good Gifts.  He is wise beyond all measure.  Therefore, His Provision for us in terms of the family we have, the friends we know, the people at our church, those at work and even those we meet in the grocery store or drive with in traffic is perfect.  God is big on the details, including the way He puts together communities.
 

Tomorrow we will talk about what it means to show honor to others.  Please join us in agreeing that God’s wisdom has determined every single person that we will encounter today…and showing them honor is showing Him honor!
