Instead, dwell on His majesty, His great works.
Try to wrap your mind around distant stars and vast, rolling oceans. Sweet cuddly babies and wise, kind elders. Your own soft breath and faithful heartbeat. The wind, the rain, the sunshine. Glossy green grass, flouncing fragrant flowers, and the tallest trees. Animals that are ferocious or docile, carefree or diligent, humble or proud…don’t they remind you of us?
Wrap your mind around the idea of Yahweh, who never changes and is steadfast in His loving pursuit of us. He is Almighty and powerful, yet He came down to earth to rescue a stubborn and undeserving people. We are compelled to give Him the glory due His name (Psalm 29:2).
