Hey! I don’t know if you have heard, but BibleGateway.com (#bgbg2) is getting a new look!
I have written about BibleGateway.com before here and more recently here. Well, the new site will have all the same wonderful features that we have always loved! Of course, it will let you search the Bible by passage, keyword or topic. Bible Gateway has other helps in the way of biblical commentaries. I love being able to look up Bible verses and immediately read Matthew Henry’s Commentary or the IVP Commentary (by InterVarsity Press). There are Bible dictionaries for reference and also reading plans and newsletters that you may subscribe to. BibleGateway.com has really helped me to study the Bible in a way that saves me so much time! There are more features than you can shake a stick at, but I really love the mobile app (so now my Bible fits in my purse!).
The new website is still being tested, but YOU can have a sneak peak here! It has a nifty tutorial that was really helpful to me. And you may notice some key new features:
- Bible annotation and personalization built around user accounts
- Seamless cross-platform syncing of user-created content
- Responsive design that adapts to any screen size or viewing device
- Clean, clutter-free presentation of Bible, devotional, and reference content
This new Bible Gateway design, currently in beta, will soon replace the one we have always known and loved. I will keep you posted and let you know when it is officially released!
