Wholeness: A Medical Breakthrough at Our House

Wholeness

Just in case you haven't noticed, we have a new schedule this year.  I post on on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.  Monday's posts are dedicated to Abundant Living - Wholeness (mental, physical, spiritual health) or Proverbs 31 (living a full life as the woman God calls us to be).  Wednesdays are ...

Lagniappe: Down Days Rock!

Lagniappe

I have been working out six days a week - three times with Debbie Siebers' "Slim in 6" and three times with Jillian Michaels' "Yoga Meltdown".  On good days, I do it before the kids are up.  On bad days, I get it in somewhere before noon.  I used to say, "I only run when I am caught in the rain" and ...

Embracing Your Strengths: Chapter 3

Embracing Your Strengths

Wholeness: Priorities

Wholeness

I am definitely a morning person! :)  Some days I bounce out of bed at 5am, make the bed, put in a load of laundry, clean out the dishwasher, do my devotional and pray, make my husband's lunch and see him off to work, and work out before the kids get up.  Other days I get up at 5am, make my ...

To Give God What We Hold Dear: What is Precious to You?

Acceptable Offering

Honor the LORD with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops (Prov 3:9, NIV).  I wrote the first post in this category some time ago, discussing that, though it is true we should give God our very best (i.e. the firstfruits), the process of our sanctification also demands that we give Him ...

Embracing Your Strengths: Chapter 2

Embracing Your Strengths

Oh the Lord works in mysterious ways!!  I was all set to start writing this post with one thing on my mind, listening to Pandora on my iPhone, and sitting down to the computer.  Nowadays I listen to Contemporary Christian music mostly but I just love, love Randy Travis (thank you for that to my ...

When the first day of school is also the day your When the first day of school is also the day your firstborn drives herself to college, it’s a lot. We moved her stuff into her dorm last week. Today she got up early to say goodbye to Dad (too early! Not pictured 😂), her brother, her doggo, her piano, and her momma. Before she left, she made blueberry scones to share with her little bro @sjoshlafont —they homeschool and relocated together, went to @westminsteroakmtn together, and have shared a love of music, Legos, superheroes (and villains), Transformers, and so much more. She played my favorite song. She even made banana bread to bring to her new roomie. @graciethenerd You are my little nut brown hare, and I love you to the moon and back. Auburn University is a better place because you are there! ❤️

Also, so grateful for the wonderful school where she spent the last four years—the perfect place to land after years of homeschooling on the move. “For the LORD is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.” (Ps 100:5) #curatingthegood #graduated🎓 #wisebeyondheryears @graciethenerd @lafonte04 @westminsteroakmtn
