Come Study with Us!

Inseparable

Over the years, I have missed out on Bible study because of work, graduate school, small children who hated child care, homeschooling and military moves. When I began my blog, my main goal was to bring a Bible study to those women who could not make it to one in person.  Since that time I have ...

Pursuing the Abundant Life

JOY!

Some words have been running around my head lately. I keep thinking about the extremes of inertia and change, order and chaos, schedule and flexibility. Last week I was at the Declare Conference, hearing about how God's plan for each of us looks different. I love this conference because it is ...

Weary of Dust and Defeat?

Wholeness

Our Heavenly Father knows how we are made, that we are just dust (Psalm 103). But don't you ever get tired of it, Lord? Tired of me? All of my apologies, my regrets, tasting bitter on the back of my tongue. All of my, "I'll do better next time," this refrain set on "repeat." In my smallness— my ...

Unpacking Truth

The Very Truth

When I was first married, my husband and I had many disagreements. In our small apartment with the grubby brown carpet, we were engaged in one power struggle after another. Let's make the bed. No, he would say, we're just going to sleep in it tonight.  Let's empty the dishes from the top rack ...

We are so thankful for this young man. ❤️ We are so thankful for this young man. ❤️
When the first day of school is also the day your When the first day of school is also the day your firstborn drives herself to college, it’s a lot. We moved her stuff into her dorm last week. Today she got up early to say goodbye to Dad (too early! Not pictured 😂), her brother, her doggo, her piano, and her momma. Before she left, she made blueberry scones to share with her little bro @sjoshlafont —they homeschool and relocated together, went to @westminsteroakmtn together, and have shared a love of music, Legos, superheroes (and villains), Transformers, and so much more. She played my favorite song. She even made banana bread to bring to her new roomie. @graciethenerd You are my little nut brown hare, and I love you to the moon and back. Auburn University is a better place because you are there! ❤️

Also, so grateful for the wonderful school where she spent the last four years—the perfect place to land after years of homeschooling on the move. “For the LORD is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.” (Ps 100:5) #curatingthegood #graduated🎓 #wisebeyondheryears @graciethenerd @lafonte04 @westminsteroakmtn
