Would You Meet Me in the Middle?

Meet Me in the Middle, let's share the Gospel on Social Media

Meet Me in the Middle?

We have been talking about Hope this month, it’s my OneWord for the year.  It’s good to kindle Hope whenever we can, so I thought this would be the perfect time to share my new project with you. I am so excited about MeetMeintheMiddle.com—squee!!!!

It all started here, last year, with the Big Before & After Project, during Lent. This year, the project grew up and got it’s own website. 🙂 You can learn everything at MeetMeintheMiddleProject.com —the plan is to repurpose Before & After images in order to share the gospel on social media ( read about it here, from the website):

Our hope is to curate (collect and organize) BEFORE and AFTER pictures, with the goal of celebrating the work happens between the pictures, and connect our observations with our understanding of the Christian life.

HOW CAN I BECOME A CURATOR?

To Curate: to collect, select and present information or items such as pictures, video, music, etc. for people to use or enjoy, using your professional or expert knowledge.

Each Wednesday, from Ash Wednesday through Holy Week, post one collage, of two images, a before and an after (see above) with the words Before & After in text on the collage, plus the hashtag #MeetMeintheMiddleProj. Write the story of what happened in the middle of the “before and after” images and show how that story is a Gospel Story. Share it on the web via a blog, Pinterest or Instagram. Then link up weekly here.

This project needs your help! The goal here is two-fold:

  1. Proclaim the Gospel. Writing Gospel Stories in the descriptions of your Meet Me in the Middle Project social media posts points to THE Gospel.
Meet Me in the Middle, so we can Declare His Glory!
  2. Create Community. Curating (collecting and organizing) Before & After images together is a fun way to connect with other believers. 🙂 Sign up below to get an invitation to our closed FaceBook group and the official Pinterest Board, then use the hashtag #MeetMeintheMiddleProj and link up weekly at MeetMeintheMiddleProject.com Collaborating together in this way with grow help us to meet (in the middle) and encourage one another.

Meet Me in the Middle, so we can Encourage One Another

This week, I will be sharing some video tutorials here to help you get involved, so stay tuned! In the meantime, sign up here to learn more!

Do you have any ideas about Before & After images you have from…DIY projects, crafty sessions with the kids, or recipes from your kitchen? If you don’t have good ones, you can start taking some now! We start February 10!!

When the first day of school is also the day your When the first day of school is also the day your firstborn drives herself to college, it’s a lot. We moved her stuff into her dorm last week. Today she got up early to say goodbye to Dad (too early! Not pictured 😂), her brother, her doggo, her piano, and her momma. Before she left, she made blueberry scones to share with her little bro @sjoshlafont —they homeschool and relocated together, went to @westminsteroakmtn together, and have shared a love of music, Legos, superheroes (and villains), Transformers, and so much more. She played my favorite song. She even made banana bread to bring to her new roomie. @graciethenerd You are my little nut brown hare, and I love you to the moon and back. Auburn University is a better place because you are there! ❤️
