My girl and I went to Michael’s yesterday to get some little frames. But right there, in the front, on an endcap (alongside the fall leaf cookie cutters), we found this darling pie plate:
Apparently Thanksgiving is around the corner. And as of today there are 125 days till Christmas! Last year at Christmas, I was busy trying to expand my book, Prodigal Confessions: 10 Principles that Lead Us Back to the Father, into a 10-week Bible study for a wonderful group of women. I will never forget the experience—it was wonderful.
But I missed Christmas.
Not that I had to leave or anything. I was home, but I was absent-minded, preoccupied, and just plain busy. Our eggnog expired before we opened it. And I grieved over missing the baking and watching the Grinch and just hanging out with my peeps. Little things.
So, though I am only the most mediocre of planners, I am already thinking ahead to the Holidays. And I can’t plan not to be absent-minded, preoccupied, or just plain busy during the holidays. But I am making a short to-do list to keep me on track:
