Got Joy?
My sister once told me that our joy is “evidence of God’s goodness.” She was reading this in Acts: “God has revealed Himself by doing good to you—giving you rain for your crops and fruitful harvests season after season, filling your stomachs with food and your hearts with joy” (Acts 14:16-17, VOICE). God shows His goodness to us, by filling our hearts with joy. When you feel joy, that is God at work in your life.
In addition, Jesus came so we could enjoy life and have an abundant (full) life (John 10:10, AMP) and His Spirit gives us joy as a GIFT (Gal 5:22-23). Even so, experiencing joy is a struggle for me sometimes.
Often I see the glass as half-empty. But, I want something better. I want to find joy in the small stuff. Don’t you? In 2014, I decided to take myself less seriously, and I wrote this collection of posts about the journey to listen more, rest, laugh, and live gratefully. I hope it brings you joy! 😉
